Encouraging students to get out of the mindset of feeling "stuck" and into the mind frame of living their best colorFULL lives!
Middle school is tough! You’re no longer the baby, but not quite the adult. In this engaging talk, using her personal story of being a middle child who often felt “stuck in the middle”, Shanaya opens up the dialog of what causes students to feel that way and provides tools to prevent them from staying there. Within this program students will be able to identify their strengths and qualities within themselves and apply such skills through out the different stages of their secondary development. Students will also be able to differentiate between a negative and positive mindset with the importance of the latter in their everyday lives, and finally students will be able to recognize the worth and value within themselves in addition to appreciating it in others. Using her own acronym of being in the M.I.D.D.L.E., Shanaya provides practical tips for students that encourages them to step out of their comfort zones, embrace who they are, and live out their best colorFULL lives!
